1. Acupuncture and Infertility. How to be accepted in a clinic? How to talk to doctors and patients? Goals and expectations of treatment.

Acupuncture and its place in hospitals.

After spending 2006-2007 coordinating with the chronic pain and oncology units of Rady San Diego children's hospital, I realized what a huge hole there was to fill in hospitals world wide. We charted in the same charts and used the same language as the doctors. We provided care for the patients and their families, creating a true holistic environment. Remembering our goal of bringing the patient to health allows us to maintain the humility needed to seamlessly blend into the hospital setting.

In the above situations, the way acupuncture services were presented to the doctors was crucial. We all love our medicine and if we want them to create places for us, we also need to maintain space and respect for the medicine they practice. Together, we do it better.

2. Acupuncture in the Cancer Ward, Children's Hospital How to be part of the hospital? Who to offer treatment? Goals and expectations of treatment.

Acupuncture in private care setting.

2007-2011, I provided acupuncture services for nOvum clinic, located in Warsaw. Again, I was fully integrated into the team, not forming a separate entity but working alongside the doctors creating a complete team for patient care. Doctors learn to rely on holistic are specialist to have the time to comfort and support patients through the most difficult phases of treatment, thus creating a true need for our cooperation.

In the above situations, the way acupuncture services were presented to the doctors was crucial. We all love our medicine and if we want them to create places for us, we also need to maintain space and respect for the medicine they practice. Together, we do it better.
