Roman Kazimierz Szymula biography:

Roman Szymula is a physiotherapist and a certified chiropractor since 2004. In the years 2001-2005 he also completed a four year course in Traditional Chinese Medicine in Franco-German Avicenna Institute in Krakow, Poland. In 2009 he finalized an advanced course in acupuncture and moxabustion at Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. He is also a co-founder of Trojmiejski Osrodek Medycyny Orientalne

Acupuncture in chosen conditions of musculo-skeletal system

During the presentation the author will comment on the purposefulness and usefulness of the acupuncture treatment in the ailments of the musculoskeletal system, including neuralgias. The patients with the ailments of the musculoskeletal system typically have prolonged pain of various presentation. Commonly the pain is managed by pharmacology, but it returns if the drugs are not taken. An acupuncture practitioner by holistic perception of the patient not only is able to offer non pharmacological management of the bothersome symptoms, but also recognizes the initial source of the problem. The author will present the advantages of the acupuncture treatment in broad perspective, including the patient and the social aspect. In the summary, there will be the presentation of the difficult case where acupuncture treatment was a breaking point in the chronic, standing musculoskeletal pain.
